Location. Be Manos is a boutique hotel located in the centre of Brussels, Belgium, 300 metres from the famous Manneken Pis statue and 500 metres from the Grand Place. Midi Station, for Thalys and Eurostar train services, is 300 metres from the hotel.

Hotel Features. Housed in a 1920s townhouse, Be Manos is a contemporary, sleek, urban hotel combining dramatic colours with designer furnishings and modern art. Guests are greeted by multilingual staff in a striking, air conditioned lobby offering complimentary wireless Internet and newspapers and express check in and check out services. A range of spa and beauty services are available at the hotel including massage, a sauna and steam room.

Offering a cool, minimalist atmosphere, Be Manos' restaurant, Be Lella is open daily for lunch and dinner and features dishes such as Medallion of Veal with Shitake Mushrooms and Tempura Mussels in Remoulade Sauce. Be Lella Breakfast Room offers complimentary buffet breakfasts in tranquil surroundings decorated in soft charcoals and greens with low lighting. Bar Noir provides a chill out space in the evenings, contrasting black and white decor with vibrant splashes of orange. There is also a summer terrace for drinks al fresco.

Guestrooms. The 60 guestrooms are air conditioned and minimum 30 square metres in size. Rooms are decorated in monochromatic black and white with leather sofas and Perspex chairs; the charcoal and white bathrooms are equipped with bathrobes and Korres toiletries. Amenities include flatscreen televisions with satellite channels, wireless Internet access, laptop size safes and minibars.

Expert Tip. There are many legends surrounding the statue of Manneken Pis, but what many people don't know is that he has a wardrobe of over 600 costumes, an Elvis Presley and a Mickey Mouse outfit among them.

Brussels Airport (BRU): Approximate driving time is 25 minutes and distance is 15 kilometres (9 miles).

Getting there. The airport's railway station is located below the terminal building on the basement level, and is accessible by elevator. Trains leave every 15 minutes between 5 a.m. and midnight to Midi station, 300 metres from Be Manos hotel (journey time 30 minutes). Single fares cost 2.60 EUR. Metered taxis can be found in front of the Arrivals hall; licensed cabs have a blue and yellow emblem. The journey to the hotel takes about 30 minutes and costs around 40 EUR. De Lijn buses run to the city every 45 minutes. Prices are all subject to change.

Getting around. Brussels is best explored on foot but the city and the surrounding suburbs are served by an integrated bus, metro, and tram network, which offers a cheap and efficient way to explore the city. Tickets should be validated prior to boarding. Over 600 taxi ranks are located around the city.
