From Dresden Airport (DRS):
Distance to the A&O Hotel and Hostel Dresden is 13 kilometres, approximately 30 minutes' drive.
Getting there. The airport has an underground railway station with shuttle trains to the city centre. The S Bahn station is located on the terminal building's lower level. The fare for a single ticket is around 2 EUR, and the journey time is 20 minutes. Take the S Bahn line S2 to the central station (Hauptbahnhof), exit for Bayerische Strasse and turn left. Pass under the bridge and Strehlener Strasse begins after the crossing.
Getting around. Dresden operates an integrated, comprehensive public transport system of suburban trains, trams and buses. Ferries run along the river Elbe, and a funicular railway runs between Loschwitz, the Weisser Hirsch, and Oberloschwitz.
