The Serragolf Hotel is a listed building with 1920s architecture, surrounded by dense woodland that is part of the Laurissilva forest, six kilometres from the Santa Cruz sea coast. The hotel's 22 guestrooms have views of the garden, modern furnishings and lighting, 100% cotton sheets and wool blankets, two armchairs each and coffee tables. They vary from simple rooms to whole apartments with sitting rooms and kitchenettes. All include air conditioning, satellite television and safes, while ensuite bathrooms provide hair dryers, bathrobes and thick cotton towels.

The Serragolf's Restaurant has classical, romantic decor with chandeliers, candlelit tables and low level lighting. The menu is Portuguese and Mediterranean with Madeira specialities such as grilled beef and black swordfish. The hotel's bar serves drinks and beverages throughout the day. There is also a library lounge with warm coloured decor and armchairs that offer a selection of books and newspapers. Conferences and banquets can be held in the hotel's meeting rooms and wireless Internet access is available in all public areas of the hotel. The 24 hour front desk has multilingual staff that can assist with recommendations for places to visit, transport bookings or any babysitting arrangements. Fitness facilities include a fully equipped gym and swimming pools located in the beach club areas. Guests have free access to these beach clubs and a number of water sports are offered nearby. Organized walks are also available around the Laurissiva Forest. A PGA standard golf course is located 200 metres from the hotel and discounts are available for use of it. The beach and yacht club is located six kilometres from the hotel, on the coast. Day trips can be organized to Funchal City, which offers some great shopping and sightseeing. Madeira International Airport is six kilometres from the hotel.

Taxi is the recommended means of getting from the airport to the hotel and will typically cost approx. 12 15 EUR.
Driving directions from the airport: Follow the signs E.R 101 towards FUNCHAL and Sta. CRUZ. After a few metres you will pass "the terminal de carga". Enter the main road E.R. 101. Approximately 600 metres ahead is the indication to road 21 which leads to St� Cruz (este) St� da Serra and A. de Pena. Turn right and then follow this road and the signs towards Santo da Serra Golf. Soon you will be driving on the E.R. 207. Once you arrive at the main entrance of the golf Club, follow the road for another 1000 metres towards the centre of the village and you will find the hotel, a blue house on your left and side.
